BSc MLT Lateral Entry Distance Education: Distance BSc MLT lateral entry is a flexible program that allows its students to learn the syllabus according to their schedules. The duration of this course is 3 years which is divided into 6 semesters. The tuition fee for this distance program ranges between INR 20,000 – INR 60,000 per annum. The eligibility for admission in this program is passing 10+2 education with 40-50% marks and PCB subjects. This program is offered by Amity University, Dr BR Ambedkar University, and Alagappa University in the regular mode. The program offers a study of various subjects, including Hematology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.

After completing this degree, career areas are Blood Bank Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, etc. The starting salary for such grads is INR 2.3 Lakh to 6.5 LPA. DEB and UGC are approving this program. The admissions of this program are closing in May 2024 at various institutes.​

BSc MLT Lateral Entry Distance Education Admission 2024


UGC DEB hasn’t approved any university to offer a BSc MLT Lateral Entry program. The admission window is now open for the BSc MLT Lateral Entry Distance Education course for the academic session 2024. Applicants need to fill out the application form. They can visit and apply at the official website of the university.

To get admission to this course, an applicant must fill out the registration form before the last date and complete the minimum requirements for admission. Generally, the students scoring a minimum of 50% in a diploma course from a relevant stream can apply for admission into the course.

After getting admission in this course, students will only be required to study their 2nd and 3rd year of curriculum as the students will be granted admission directly into the 2nd year of the course.

Note: As per the UGC-DEB, the BSc MLT course is not taught in distance learning mode. Students can pursue this course only in regular mode.
