BA LLB Distance Education Admission 2023: It stands for the Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Laws, which teaches students about the laws and fundamental human rights, as well as all the information about the course and everything related to it. There is no specific age limit stipulated for those wishing to pursue this course, and it takes a minimum of five years for the course to be completed. In addition to the above courses, students may also choose to pursue similar courses such as a BBA LLB, a B.Com LLB, a B.Sc LLB, an LLB, etc.

BA-LLB course is not approved to be offered through distance education. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), the organization no longer approves the BA-LLB degree earned through distance learning.

BA LLB Distance Education Admission?


LLB distance education is not valid in India till now. The Bar Council of India (BCI) still does not recognize this degree as valid through distance learning mode. However, many other countries still find this ODL degree valid, but not in India today.

If someone pursued this degree in distance education mode, then BCI won’t support them as a legitimate lawyer. Students can pursue the course in regular mode only. A large number of universities are offering the course and admission will be based on the entrance exam and merit list criteria.

Students who want to enrol in BA LLB through a distance mode of learning can apply through the official website of selected universities. The admission process will be followed in online and offline modes. In offline mode, students have to fill out the form and submit it to the admission department of the particular university. While in online mode, students can submit the form through the online admission portal of the university.

  • Qualified for 10+2/intermediate exam from a recognized board of education (State Board or Central Board).
  • Scored an aggregate mark of 50% in the 10+2/Intermediate exam from any recognized state or central board. (45% for reserved categories)
  • Completed 10+2 in any field may apply for this course.
  • Cleared all the subjects of Intermediate/10+2 at 1st attempt.
  • Based on college selection, students have to write the entrance exam or attend a personal interview at the desired college.
  • Any age group that meets the eligibility criteria can apply.
