AICTE ATAL FDP on Design Thinking and Innovation at IIT Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar : Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar is organising AICTE ATAL FDP on “Design Thinking and Innovation” which was inaugurated on 23rd December 2024. The five-day faculty development programme is being organised by School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management of the Institute, supported by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India from 23rd to 27th December 2024. The event was inaugurated today by Prof. V. Pandu Ranga, Dean (Continuing Education) of the Institute; Coordinator of the programme Dr. Punyashree Panda, Associate Professor, School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management and Co-Coordinator Dr. Dukhabandhu Sahoo, Head of School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management.
This FDP aims to train educators and the participants about the intricacies of integrating design thinking and innovation into business operations, which shall be helpful to further channelize the students’ minds in realizing user-centred solutions relevant to markets and bringing success.
Dr. Punyashree Panda, in the welcome address, stated the need to continually develop the curiosity of knowledge and the importance of design thinking in this process. In his address, Prof. V. Pandu Ranga briefed about the institution and highlighted that education is a continuous journey that is aimed at personal growth, professional networking, and social advancement. Speaking on the occasion, the chief speaker of the inaugural session, Dr. Ajit Kumar, Associate Professor, XIMB focused on the importance of the FDP which shall equip the participants to decipher the right information from information overload. Dr. Dukhabandhu Sahoo proposed a vote of thanks for the event.
The FDP will cover various aspects of Design Thinking and Innovation for the participants across the country, wherein the experts will discuss and deliberate upon the applications, development, and execution of Design Thinking and Innovation.
