ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY​


CUSB, The Central University of South Bihar, with NAAC accreditation grade A++ and categorised in Category 1 by UGC, was established under the , as amended in year 2013. The Central University of South Bihar, endeavours to serve the nation by rendering quality education and knowledge dissemination to students in various programs.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF LAW AND GOVERNANCE​


The Department of Law and Governance stands as a trailblazer in shaping contemporary legal professionals equipped with a multidisciplinary perspective. Through its comprehensive educational programs, the department offers in-depth knowledge and expertise in a diverse array of legal domains, including Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Constitutional Law, Taxation Law, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Environmental Law. By fostering a holistic approach to legal education, the department ensures that its graduates are not only well-versed in theoretical principles but also adept at addressing the complex challenges of the modern legal landscape.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA​


CCI became fully functional in the year 2009, with Dharmendra Kumar as its first Chairperson and currently under the Chairmanship of Ravneet Kaur, aims to establish a sustainable competitive environment in the Indian Economy through proactive engagement with all the stakeholders, the government, and the international jurisdiction the commission schemes for the prevention of practices that harm competition, promotion and sustenance of competition in markets, protecting consumers’ interests and ensuring the freedom of trade.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION​


CUSB is elated to announce its second edition of the CCI-CUSB National Moot Court Competition, 2025 in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India, is to be held 2025 — 25th of January, 2025 (Knockout rounds in physical mode). The Invitation, ,

of the competition is attached herewith to this message. This flagship event has been devised to stir up research on issues in Competition Law and start a talk among the legal fraternity as to emerging jurisprudence in the area. The moot, at the same time, strives to familiarize law students across the country with the courtroom environment and etiquette and augment their argumentative and research skills.

The moot proposition revolves around the different facets of competition law and concomitant laws. However, the students shall feel free to scout other dimensions of legal issues involved.

We wholeheartedly invite you all to participate in this flagship event which shall be organised in the premises of our campus, amidst the ecstatic beauty of Bodh Gaya, a UNESCO world heritage site, along with Vishnupad Temple, where you can find ‘the “padchinh”(footprint) of Lord Vishnu.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA​


The Competition shall be open to the students who are pursuing any Integrated 5-Year LL.B Program or 3-Year LL.B Program in India.

REGISTRATION AND FEE PAYMENT​


  • Interested Students can register by filling the form attached below;

    Link of Provisional Registration Form: , on or before 3rd January, 2025


  • Registration Fee: INR 1,000 for Preliminary rounds (Online) + INR 1,500 for Knockout rounds (Physical Mode) + INR 2000 for Accommodation fee (INR 1000 for per day per team for two days.)


  • After the results of Preliminary rounds, the top eight teams shall be required to make a payment of INR 1,500 for Knock out Rounds of the competition.
